Now that you've learned the basics of making simple, delicious vegetables, it's time to put your skills into action!
For your class project, you’ll create your own custom vegetable dish using the techniques and tips from the lessons. This is your chance to get creative and experiment with flavors, textures, and ingredients you love — all while practicing proper prep, timing, and sauce-building.
Your project steps:
- Choose your vegetables – Select at least 3 different vegetables with a mix of textures and colors. Bonus points for using what's in season or what you already have on hand!
- Prep like a pro – Cut your vegetables into even, bite-sized pieces to ensure even cooking.
- Build your signature sauce – Use one of the class templates or invent your own using pantry staples like soy sauce, garlic, sesame oil, or vinegar.
- Make and plate – Cook your dish using proper heat control and layering techniques, then plate it up and get ready to share.
To complete your project:
* Upload a photo of your finished dish
* List the vegetables and sauce ingredients you used
* Share any creative choices or challenges you encountered
