Some tips:
1. Remember to create a beat starting with basic patterns.
2. Don't forget about the grid resolution. That can really throw you off!
3. Add an instrument, on a MIDI track to give it a bass line.
4. Create a synth, pad, and melody in that same key for extra elements!
