the neighbourhood is a secretive socal five piece. a fairly new group on the scene, these guys have definitely caught my attention with their mash of musical sounds that give off a r&b // indie // rock vibe. not to mention their self branding of straight forward black and white imagery. from their upside down house for a logo to their videos, the graphics remain in either black or white with a dark sense of mystery. i'm strongly inspired by their lyrics and concepts using typography and of course the contrasting colors. their eps 'i'm sorry...' and 'thank you,' have tracks that i can listen to for days. this band's music and appearance really intrigue me, i am curious to what they are going to release next in march on the full album.
