femme fatale - girl gang - lipsticked explorer

I run an etsy shop called Tallulah Lost. I sell patches and pins for gril gangs and femme fatales. I've always wanted to support myself through creativity. Although this is a side project, it's done quite well over the past few years.

In 2016, I'd like to expand my sales and outreach by starting a blog and upgrading my social media. Instagram is my favourite form of social media. It's also effective because I can easily showcase my products.

Here's a screencap of my beginning stats Dec 2015:

I'd like to up my followers by at least 500 by March. Given the current Noir resurgance and growing popularity of the girl gang aesthetic, I think I can have an exciting and relevant account. Some day I'd love to be a featured user.

My biggest growing opportunity will be photography. It doesn't come naturally to me. I'm going to take some photography classes on skillshare and really try to hone in on the noir aesthetic. I want most of my photos to be black and white with pops of red and lavendar. That will make my couloured product photos stand out as well.

Here are some old photos that capture the vibe I want to go for:

I'm also working on simplifying my logo to reflect the kinds of products I make.

  1. Girl Gang
  2. Femme Fatale
  3. Neo Noir
  4. ?
  5. ?

I have three major categories that I know I want to incorporate. I'm undecided on the other two. I'm a comic nerd and enjoy cosplay which fits into the femme fatale category so I could include that. I also live in alberta and love to explore (hence the #wilderlost tag). Plus I love axes, throwing knives, campires and anything similarly badass. For now I think I'll focus on the first three and re-evalute once I've made some progress.

Primary Hashtags:

#girlgang, #femmefatale, #wilderlost

Secondary Hashtags:

#pingame, #patchgame, #shopsmall, #noir, #neonoir

That's all for now. :)Wish me luck!
