my style | bedroom remodel

My house is a constantly evolving interior design project.  I want to use this class to define my overall style in order to create a direction for decorating my home in general. Specifically I'll focus on a design for my master bedroom, which is currently all white - a blank slate - waiting for the right design!

5 favorite rooms

Cear themes are warm tones, rustic/natural wood, ceiling beams, global/eclectic patterns, and lots of natural light

My white space

I recently ordered this bed, inspired by the camelback bed in one of the photos above, but with more classic lines:

Color pallete

My goal is to compliment the reddish/tan tones in the fireplace stone.  I love this pallete of rose, pink, terracotta, and black accents.

I wanted to keep the walls neutral, but not white.  After much trial and error, I finally landed on this stone color:

(BM Hot Spring Stones)

Pattern

At first I wanted to add pattern to the room in the form of bedding, but I've decided to leave the bedding all white, and accent with patterned sheets and throw pillows:

I also LOVE the idea of bringing in pattern and texture with a kilim rug for the seating area:

(West Elm Phoenix wool Dhurrie)

(Random Pinterest photo, no idea where to find this rug!)
