loving calligraphy :)

it took me a while to start the class 'cause I didn't have the right materials, but I finally did and couldn't be happier!

Above my first strokes: while I was filling in the page with the basic strokes it occurred to me that I could create a brand new collection with them. And I did!!! (love when unexpected ideas happen :) ) At the end you can see my new Calligraphic Strokes collection. I will start selling it in note cards sets soon to be available in my shop :D ) Anyway, I hope you like it!

I thought it was going to be easier to use the pen, but it is harder than I thought. The good thing is, once again I can really say practice makes you better. I don't know how long it will take me to really master calligraphy, but I could see my shapes and lines getting better the more I tried doing me... do you see it too or is it just me?

I found it easier to do letters N-Z... don't know why but A-M were way more difficult.

And these are my attempts to do uppercases. Definitely easier to do the lowercases. I have to keep practicing. Making proper cursive uppercases doesn't quite suit me. Don't know why, but I'm finding it difficult to create the curves. Any tips Molly?

Is it acceptable to create a calligraphy ABC with regular uppercases? I still want to learn the cursive ones but really need some tips in making the pen flow better when curving. Thanks!

And ta-daaaaaaa! here's my new collection that was born thanks to this fab class so thank you Molly. I can't wait to use my ABC in my work too :D In the meanwhile, I'll keep practicing and practicing and PRACTICING.
