Hi Kate,
Really enjoyed your class. I had a glorious sunny day for my pattern making so I went outside and was inspired by the autumn colours here in the Scottish Highlands.
My found objects turned out a bit too bland...I'd like to try it again at some point incorporating more patterning and stylisation and unrealistic colours (I added in one little blue sprig with purple berries at the end). By the way the turqoise blob is a bit of lichen.
One thing I struggle with when painting with gouache is that the paint dries up so quickly. Of course it's easy to reactivate it, but then hard to get that 'double cream' consistency- so when I paint on top of other colours with re-activated paint...it doesn't work so well. Any tips?
Thanks very much,
Bo
