fashion illustration 101

I've been drawing people (and no, not the stick man! haha) since I was four but I never had a formal training on drawing.  This class has been a great adventure for me because I am able to synergize my passion for fashion and my drawing skills.  The technique of using watercolour in fashion illustration is something new to me and it's fascinating how a simple image can come to life with colour!  However, I am still in the process of dabbling with the use of ink in finalizing my artwork - I still haven't figured out if this particular technique is something I'm comfy with.

Here are my inspirations for this set - from the Stella McCartney Spring 2014 collection:

So, here's what I was working on the past two nights. I was trying to practice on drawing other poses other than the model in the erect pose.  Got my inspiration from Lanvin's F/W 2013-14 ad.

With water colour... (I really need to practise on using water colour!)

Final work (minus ink!)...

Thoughts? :)
