i tend to be very strict and very rigid when it comes to colour control. wet on dry is fine, it is 'me'. when it comes to wet on on wet, things change. i am no longer in control and that is out of my comfort zone. that is why this class is so good for me. it allowed me to explore bits out of my comfort zone. imagine letting the paint do it's job... Jane's technique is very very interesting. and yes, practicing it leads to better results. and these trees are so addictive, mainly because one round does not take too long. in this technique time is critical.
the first attempt:
on the second attempt i noticed that the tree tops are too round and the edge is too sharp
so, off to fix that in a third attempt. improved, but still far off. and those branches... i am soooo far away
and the fourth and last attempt for the time being. i changed the paper, because the previous type tends to dry too fast. but still those branches are so not it.
