Zooratura, through the magnifying glass; nature-inspired laser cut jewelry

Hello!

I love walking the line between art and technology, and decided to open an etsy shop one year ago featuring jewelry inspired by Ernst Haeckel's amazing illustrations of sea creatures. In order to replicate the intricate beauty of these organisms I decided to use multiple layers of veneer cut out with a laser cutter. Though my friends love the designs, I haven't put much effort into marketing my shop and thought it'd be a good idea to follow this course.

If you'd like to take a look, my shop is here:

Here are few things I've done so far to improve my shop:

I changed the shop name from ResourceRevive to Zooratura, which I feel does a better job of evoking the nature-aspect of the designs. The new name is a mash up of zoo and the spanish word for creature ("creatura").

I've also improved the product photos. I think the photos are pretty good but I realized that I could do better by making the close-ups have a flat white background. Here's what it looked like before:

And now after using the flat white background.

I really like how the white background makes it really pop!

So here's how the shop page looks when you first get to it:

My next steps are to add more products, in particular, adding more colour to the jewelry. Also, I think once I've added a few more products I'll redo the banner so that it feels a bit more cohesive with the products listed.

I sometimes offer sales promotions on my facebook page, https://www.facebook.com/Zooratura, and plan to post more photos and updates; in particular, I want to share more about my process and sneak-previews of new products. I'll also continue offering sales of new items, occasionally.

I am quite happy with the results so far, but am always thrilled to receive more constructive criticism and suggestions. Yeah, I'd love to hear what you think and any suggestions.

Cheers,

Ariel Harlap.
