You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.

My concept for this project came straight out of Song of Solomon. The quote, "You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you" is just a daily reminder to love yourself and stay postive/confident.

Mood board:

Here is my progress thus far....

Practicing some "beautiful's"

Practicing some "altogether's"

Here are a few rough layouts...

Going to work on more layout concepts and thumbnails but I'm really liking the "beautiful" font -- it's feminine enough and kind of reminiscent of a old french ad. What do you think?

Ok, so I did more work on layout thumbnails and am finding it pretty difficult to fit all the text. I can't figure out if I want to leave "beautiful" on its own, or combine it with "altogether" or "my darling." Thoughts?

My first ink version, still looking for a "my darling" font. Some letters are a little rough, but liking how it's all fitting together.

Here is my last (very rough) iteration of the final layout before I add ink. I added the round border to give it a vintage mirror-like quality, and I really need to learn how to draw flowers and fix up the banner, but all in all, I think it gives off the feeling I was looking for... thoughts?

Final ink version! Love how it is turning out. Now just need to scan in and add some color :) Thoughts?
