I've called my pattern "Yokohama Spring". I started with some flowery organic doodles, and many had a Japanese feel to them.
I decided to go with a soft spring-like palette of colors: two shades of moss green, two shades of dusty rose, ochre and cream. I turned my original line drawings white, so they would stand out.
I actually started with the blender patterns. Two of them have a cream-colored background with a Japanese Kingin tissue paper texture added (the gold flecks):
Here is another one with a darker plain background and white graphic:
Then I created the hero pattern with the same elements and colors. It's quite busy, yet soft on the eye (I hope). I did this in Photoshop since I don't have Illustrator:
And then the secondary pattern:
FInally I created the spot graphic using a single cherry blossom, two flowers and the large marigold, which was my favorite design:
My pattern collection is inspired by the cherry trees that bloom in the spring in Japan. Here's the whole collection:
