Writing a Final Illustration Project

Hi! 

English isn't my first language, so please excuse any mistakes.

I'm studying an Illustration Degree and currently I'm trying to write and illustrate a children's picture book for my Final Project, so this class was really timely for my purpose.

Unit 1

My favourite picture book is "Where the wild things are" (1984) by Maurice Sendak, because the characters, the plot, the use of framing, the rhythm and the very honest representation of child behaviour is perfect and amazing. My son enjoys this book as much I have. 

Maurice Sendak is a reference author for my work.

I’d say that my plot structure is Classic. 

I tried to make a first storyboard plot outline. First of all, I tried to notice the parts of "Where the wild things are" plot, following the provided diagram.

Then I felt more comfortable to make a plot storyboard based in my own story. After several revisions I've got a first version.

But my resultant structure is:

Introducing - Conflict - Action #1 - Low Point - Action #2 - Action #3 - Resolution - End

As you can see "Low Point" isn't in the same place as in the provided diagram, so I'm not sure if that's correct.

Hi! after great advices from Christine I've revised completly my story.

This is my story now:

A girl is bored at home. She hear a noise. A bird has got into home (INTRO).

The girl wants to be friend with the bird (GOAL). But the bird ignores the girl (CONFLICT).

(ACTION #1) The girl asks him for his name. The bird doesn't answer. She tries to guess it. She knows one and says aloud!. But the bird get scared and flies off.

(ACTION #2) She follows him to try again. She offers him some food. The bird gets closer and she tries to catch him! She fails and the bird moves farther away.

The girl is sad because the bird doesn't want to be friend with her. (LOW POINT)

She see two birds (or other animal) that are carrying on a conversation and she catches on that she didn't ask him correctly.

(ACTION #3) Then she tries again and asks him (if he wants to be friend with her) but talking like a bird: -"Pri pri, pro pro, pru pru?"(or something like this). The bird (that was seeing the girl) gets closer...

and he answers "Pri!" (that means yes) (or something like this) (RESOLUTION).

And I'm looking for a clever END.
