Here are my finished patterns for workshop #3. Not completely in love with them. Having lost most of my project on my computer and having to use my work computer after hours to get this finished. I'm just happy to be done. I think I will come back later when my computer is working and finish with the rest of my watercolor patterns as I could not get them to image trace from this computer.
This workshop has been so much fun I have enjoyed diving into watercolor in a totally different way then the traditional watercolor that I am used to. I am learning so much and have so far to go still but I am beginning to feel more confidant in my work. Thank you so much Bonnie for sharing what you have learned it is simply amazing!
Feeling quite frustrated today. Last night my computer shut off and I lost all of the watercolor motifs I had worked on. It was alright, I wasn't completely satisfied with what I had created and it wasn't quite the direction I was wanting to go. I turned of the computer and painted a few more elements to add with my other watercolor elements. Tonight my computer is not cooperating so here are my watercolor motif's. I will continue working but wanted to get these in on time.
I have had so much fun working with watercolors for this assignment. I struggled though trying to paint in a way so that I could add to illustrator. I think this has so much potential I can't wait to try more.
I have had internet problems this week so I'm a day late adding my Illustrations. But here they are! This is so much fun! I especially love how the wood vase turned out.
We haven't had good weather where I live so I was pretty disappointed in getting photos for this workshop. I decided to head to the flower shop to see if there was anything there that I could get for inspiration I found some really pretty flowers that combined with a vintage jar from my grandma and a hand turned wood vase from my father who have both passed away provided just what I was hoping for.
This was such a fun and educational class to take. I will never look at surface design the same way. As I went shopping today everything I looked at I had to look at the way the pattern was designed. Thank you Bonnie for sharing your skills with all of us! I have fell in love with surface design!
Inspired by crisp morning walks down a country road. The sounds of nature all around and smell of flowers blooming all around.
