Teaching Whimsical watercolors

Wonderful White Winter

I started the project by sketching out different angles of the Anemones to get a nice variety in the composition.

Then I tried to get a nice feeling for the colors and shadows in the petals. Trying to get deeper shadows on the bottom of the flowers and where the petals overlap. I did the middle of the flower in a thick paintmixture so it reallt stands out and gives the flower the characteristic Anemone look.

The final project is the bouquet you can see below. The composition is organic and flowing (just how I like it ;) )

I hope you enjoy the project as much as I did. And if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. And remember that I really love to see your work too. So if you try out this project please share so we all can enjoy it :)

Have fun painting!
