First of all, great class! I've been using Illustrator for a few years now and I see so many styles and techniques used that I don't know where to look! I've always really liked this sort of overstylised look, but I also found it quite intimidating and difficult to do myself. I decided to finally give it a try thanks to this class.
For the last year, I've been practising human anatomy quite a bit. This because I've always struggled a lot (a LOT) with drawing people. I decided to combine these two elements to create my piece. I played around with the proportions of the woman, because I felt that would fit well with the style.
Here is the original sketch I made. I used a reference for the pose, which can be found on artmodeltips.com. It is a very useful website if you want to practise your anatomy :)
Unfortunately, I didn't save my digital version with the shading, so here are the two final versions I came up with:
To be honest, I am not sure how I feel about this piece, but I decided to upload it anyway. It's quite different from my usual work. Feel free to critique it how you see fit!
