Wildlife of Prince Edward County

I've wanted to do a set of icons for Prince Edward County for a while. This gave me the opportunity to learn Illustrator at the same time.  I have to admit the class was hard to follow given my skill level.  The on screen prompts for shortcuts helped a lot.  I should have taken the other DKNG class before starting on this one.  Anyhow, one of the icons is done - the Coyote. There might be still some tweaking left but it is at a good 80%.  Hopefully I can come back to tackle the rest.

I did more sketches - cardinals, deer, and raccoon, and also made digital files of the cardinals and monarch butterfly.  I feel that my drawing in Illustrator is improving and things are looking less 'vector-y' if that makes sense. I tweaked the colours a bit to make the finished icons more cohesive. More tweaking to come....

The walleye was added. Had a little difficulty with the colour selection though.  Might change it again.

I did the turkey vulture and raccoon.  I have a few more to add. I want to make 9 in total.  This has been really fun and a great learning experience.  It is true. You do get faster with it as you move along.

Today, I added the deer, blue heron, and rabbit.  I tweaked the coyote a little too.  Overall, glad I did so many as I learned something new with each one.
