Why Police Lie Under Oath

Because They Can

I found it interesting that jurors tend to believe cops more than the arrested. It makes sense. We are taught from a very young age to trust police officers. Many times the people arrested already have a tarnished record. It would be easier to believe a cop, someone who is considered a hero, over someone who already has a past.

Many times cops lie in order to make more arrests. Sometimes higher numbers of arrests are rewarded with money.

Some agencies has unofficial quotas that help keep track of productivity. If an officer isn’t making his quota, sometimes he arrests someone to fill that quota and in return must lie about it to protect himself and his career.

These are a few of my better sketches based on the above topics.

*For some reason the sketches keep uploading roatated.
