Wer will, der kann

My title is in German and is my favorite maxim. It means that if you really want something, you can do it.

What I am expecting from my life list is to broaden my horizons, to encourage me to take risks and to go beyond what I think are my limits. That's why my goals are mostly things that I have never tried.

I would like to feel more confident and fight my fears. Becoming more daring seems a good place to start. My experience told me that the first step is always the most difficult. The second time is much easier.

The 5 Goals I would really like to achieve this year are:

1) run my first marathon (hope to achieve this next sunday)

2) Try canyoning (it has been one of my dreams for a very long time so I guess I should really try it)

3) Write book reviews (I have never written any book review because I always felt like my opinion didn't matter. I would like to take the time to reflect on my reading and to find the right words to say what I thought of it, no matter how stupid it might sound)

4) Ask for an autograph at the end of a concert ( I have been to a lot of concerts and I have never had the confidence to do it)

5) Cook sushi with some gilfriends (I am not sure I have the patience for it but I would really like to do it)
