Welcome to ... woodburning!

Welcome to ... woodburning! - student project

Hi Chamisa,

thank you so much for this class! I am new to woodburning and am already totally hooked. I enjoyed the process and even the smoke & smell ... and I had quite a lot of smoke, LOL. The wood I used was (pre-oiled) birch and oak, and I assume the oil just made the smoke worse ...? There are some yellow-brownish stains along the burnt lines and I guess that's because I pressed down to hard?

You seem to use a different woodburner, though, and I was wondering about the difference. At times, I really had to press down hard, otherwise there wouldn't have been any mark at all. Guess my cheapo woodburner from the local hardwarestore needs a little boost ;-)
