For this exercise, I will be working on Weine.de, an online wine store (in German for now) started by two friends I met during my graduate studies in Maastricht University a couple of years ago. The company is based in Germany's Mosel region but serves customers from different countries.
Weine.de is more than just an e-commerce platform, the website caters to both newbies and connoisseurs with its rich, 'value-adding' features. Its interface takes into account the idea that wine drinking is not a lone, singular action but a part of an overall experience that involves food and other dimensions. This is reflected by the website's design and features.
