"Summer Road Trip" one was actually my very first 30 day challenge painting. I didn't use 100% cotton paper and I also used a brush from a local dollar store (it was $1.25 for a pack of 5!). Since then, I worked on 7 days of the spring session and bought 100% cotton paper as well as still inexpensive but better quality brushes.
I can definitely see improvement in my watercolor painting techniques!
Thank you so much for this fun class! I can't wait to get started on the fall sessions!
If you see ways I could improve my paintings, please let me know in the comments : )
Happy painting everyone!
This one was my VERY FIRST watercolor painting from the challenge!
I didn't like how the upper cloud turned out so I went back after the sky was dried... I can clearly see a watermark outline... a lesson learned!
I want to learn to make the skies' color change more gradually...
I absolutely love how my last two paintings turned out! : )
I am very new to Skillshare. I joined just a few days ago. This project's been really fun and relaxing! I haven't been painting with watercolours like this since high school! (that's almost 20 years!) It's a great challenge, especially for beginners.
I was too excited to get started and used my children's art supplies like their brushes from a Dollar Store. I plan to buy better-quality materials once I get used to this medium.
There were challenges like the paper drying too quickly!
I look forward to joining more classes from the same teacher.
If you see ways I could improve, please let me know!
