Watermelon Head and Punk Family

Earlier this year, I worked on a piece for the 2015 Object Head Zine - this is where the design came from. (Recycling designs? Lazy? Nay, I call it efficiency.) 


I cleaned him up in Illustrator (which I hadn't touched in ages so it was a good learning curve) and this is what came out of it:

After that, I made three more walk cycles based on the idea of a punky, hipster family. These were easier after the first try.

The big takeaway for me was from the shadow part of the tutorial - being able to parent the position of multiple paths to one path's position saved a lot of time (and let me rework things in the end with much less trouble). Thanks Fraser! This is the class that I got the paid account for.
