Watercolour for Graphic Design - student project

Here are my watercolour swatches and seamless patterns used with text:

As a vector graphic to go with my circular swatches I decided to use a mandala I drew in Helen Bradley's Create a Mandala class. You can see my project from that class here: https://www.skillshare.com/classes/design/Photoshop-for-Lunch+-Create-a-Mandala-Template-Rotation-Texture-Gradients-Pen-and-Shapes/1901350297/projects/83763?via=class-details-projects-page.

In Helen's class I used a radial gradient and a cracked paint texture with the mandala. Here I use my watercolour textures.

In the two examples above the mandala is drawn with black lines and some black fill. The next swatch varies more in colour and value, so I felt a simpler mandala would be better. I redesigned it with narrow white lines and no fill.

With another watercolour swatch I explored the effect of various layer blend modes using the white line mandala, then finally changed to narrow black lines and gold foil.
