Watercolour Winter Wonderland

Watercolour Winter Wonderland - student project

Last week we had the first snow of the season. Although it lasted only for ten minutes, I instantly got into the winter mood. This is why I chose the topic winter wonderland for this watercolour pattern.

I imagined berries, pine branches and footsteps in the snow.

I pulled my colours from the painting on the left side of my moodboard. The painting is called Winter Aqua, painted by Shawna - I found the picture on pinterest.

I show you some process photos,  my elements after digitalizing and arranging.

First I gave my pattern a light blue background, but then I changed it to almost white, to have a more snowy effect and changed the colour of the footsteps to darker shades.

I had a lot of fun creating this pattern, thank you for the great class, Bonnie!
