Negative Space

I really enjoyed this lesson and it has really helped me control my precision when painting, although not perfect yet I am happy with the results.

Masking Fluid

I didn't enjoy this as much as the negative space, however, I can see it being very useful for smaller/finer details.  It was nice to see how it contrasts using different colours.

White Ink Over Watercolour

I love this, I bought the Copic White Ink Ana recommended as I found Winsor and Newton Ink and White Acrylic hard to work with over the watercolour and it wasn't as white but the Copic is perfect for this.  Endless possibilities.

This is unfinished at the moment, I am struggling to stick with it as I am not too happy with how it looks,

Final Project

I really enjoyed working on this and I have learned tons during this class.  I am much happier with the clouds on my final illustration than the one I painted during the clouds class.

I am happy with the night sky although I accidentally used too much water when doing some of the splatters!  I need to practice using the masking fluid as my yellow stars are a bit messy and definitely purchase the brush cleaner!

I decided not to try the lettering so the negative space is the top of the mountains.  I am not sure what happened when mixing my Winsor and Newton ink and watercolour together but the pigments seem to have separated causing the liquid to have a bitty appearance, although in some places this looks nice, over all I am not happy with the mountains (I am still deciding whether or not to work some pattern using the white ink over the mountains like my leaves.
