Watercolor projects

Watercolor projects - student project

Hi Ana Victoria!

The course did a great job of showing novice like me, how to turn paints and inspiration into some magic. Well, maybe with ton of practice added... :)

I have not held a brush since my childhood, so it was challenging from the beginning but a lot of fun too!

Here are few of my practice sheets:

Monochrome activity:

Jellyfish exercise:

I wasn't quite happy with my jellyfishes, so I tried other drawing:

The galaxy project was definitely the most difficult one for me. I use different kinds of paper (basically all I could find in my hobby-price-range) and apparently don't have enough understanding how much water each kind can stand. So galaxy started with a small fiasco :)

On the second try I used much more concentrated paint, but in the result it lacks the smooth transition between colors and I guess I used too many different colors too...

But anyway I'm much more satisfied with this one! :)

Thank you for the great class and looking forward taking further classes from you!

Cheers,

Anna
