Watercolor Mountain Landscape Textures

Watercolor Mountain Landscape Textures - student project

I really loved practicing the all different texture techniques demonstrated in this class.

I did my first painting with salt texture which doesn't show up very well.  I did this with a small Silver angle brush which I had but never used.

In the second painting I used crumpled deli wrap on the background mountiain and a large triangular brush. I used gauze on the foreground and mountain but the texture is rather light.

Painting with the credit card was such a fun technique to learn but may take a few more attempts to master.

This is my final project.  I used the plastic card to apply the paint. I used crumpled deli wrap (wax side down) for the background mountain. I used salt on the light cliff part and crumpled cling wrap for the foreground.  I could work on this more but I am calling it done.

I love how these painting turned out and I learned so much. But I also really enjoy using paintings like this to explore digital effects.
