Water Lily

I started with one of my favorite photos from my collection: a blooming water lily from my parents' pond.

I used black watercolor and a waterbrush for the word "breathe". I know we were supposed to use ink, but this is all I had on hand.

I tried to clean it up a bit, but it was tough with just a track pad. I didn't want to go too crazy with it since I'm just learning here, so it's still a bit rough. I think I'll use my brush pen next time so the lettering will have cleaner edges.

I used the eyedropper tool to find the best letter color. I was going to use yellow, but I felt like it was too bold for the overall vibe.

So I caught this shade of lavender that I think works well:

I'm so glad I took this class. It was so easy to follow along and I know I'll be able to do this again on my own. Thank you so much!
