Waking Up: Why/When/What

I used to wake up with the sun and get a full day in, but within the past ~6 months of the pandemic, I've just become so demotivated and oppressively weighted down by pain/fatigue that my average wake-up time is between 2 and 3 PM (with my average sleep time being between 3 - 5 AM).

Ideally, I'd like to get back to rising with the sun and sleeping at a regular hour. Intentionally falling asleep is physically difficult, but I know that's the rock solid foundation to waking up earlier. Hearing Zachary recommend patience and baby steps is giving me the assurance and freedom to be gentle with this process.
