This was a tough project for me but I jumped in and had a go. You don't grow as an artist unless you stretch yourself, right? Well this really stretched me. I'm not used to watercolours or creating images that are realistic. I'm not sure it's that realistic but I'm happy with where my flower and greenery got to in the end.
Medium is watercolour and watercolour pencils on watercolour paper in my visual diary.
This is my finished flower.
The above is a progress photo of my vintage inspired botanical flower.
This was my first attempt at sketching out a composition. I wanted the put the leaves on the bottom of the flower not the top. This is a super rough and ready watercolour sketch in my normal visual diary.
Thanks for a great class. Love the teacher's style. Beautiful realism in her art. I'm inspired to keep trying.
