This area of the ocean is quite close to my old apartment in Vancouver, so I was pretty excited when I found it on Unsplash.

The original image was taken by Tim Mossholder and looks like this:


I followed along with the instructions and everything went fine until the end during the resize phase. Once I scaled the image down, the dots stayed enormous and the halftone settings wouldn't let me choose a dot radius lower than 4 which was still way too big.

I ended up saving the large hi-res file as a jpg, then opening the jpg up to scale it down to size. This is my final (with a white border that you can't see):

I do screen printing and have been wanting to try printing photos on material using this method, so I'm really happy to have found a course that caters to exactly what I want to try. :)
