Valentine's day velvet flowers

I wanted to take this class a few months ago and finally got to do it. It is so inspiring, what a great way to start 2015! There's so much information packaged in this course.

My moodpboard theme is valentine’s day velvet flowers.

I decided to use the opportunity and finally visit the botanical gardens. Outside was cold, and inside the flowers were in fool bloom... so much to see.

The black-pink image in the moodpboard is taken from a wonderful exhibition I’ve been to about packaging design - perfect for any pattern lover. here’s the book: http://www.amazon.de/Kunst-Keksdose-125-Jahre-Bahlsen/dp/3868322280

Here's my Valentine's envelope, and another postcard. The lettering and postmark on the card is from the lovely Bessoted blog of miss Tristan B.

That's it.

Elizabeth, thank you so much for the utterly wonderful course. It opened up a whole new world for me. And the tip about avoiding live trace and using inkpad is priceless! also your contagious positive vibes :-)

Happy Valentin's day!
