I didn't have time to do the 1979 version, so here is something else. From hand sketch, to illustrator, and mockup.

I made this logo in illustrator.

Here is my sketch on top of an image. I used the standard setting in illustrator to convert it into a vector.

Here is a rough sketch of a logo for my site, and I'm eager to start learning to use illustrator to enhance my vector files.
