Update Your Resume - Every Bullet Point Tells a Story

Class Description

Writing a resume can be one of the most frustrating aspects of a job search. It can be hard to figure out what to put for each of your bullet points - you want it to look like you've done a lot, but it ends up feeling like a lot of words that don't really mean anything. As a former recruiter who has looked at upwards of a thousand resumes, I will walk you through a step-by-step process to craft a resume that you're really proud of and want to share. I've broken down the process so that it doesn't feel overwhelming and share concrete examples so that you really understand how to craft a bullet that conveys the story you want to share with recruiters and hiring managers.

Class Project: Update YOUR Resume

Your class project will be actually creating/updating your resume as you work through the class, so that you end up with a finished product! You can anonymize the parts of your resume that have identifying information for the purposes of posting, but I highly recommend that you work on and post your resume along with the class so that you can get feedback from others.
