My project for the class "Markers 101: Basics and Step-by-Step Sketching"
I used alcohol based markers of few firms (Potentate, Finecolor and TouchFive).
First of all I made simple exercises from the lesson. I tested markers with different nibs and how they work with fineliners. And I learnt that lines made with Sakura will stay the same while the other I tried - Shneider is better to use after the marker's layer.
Then I drew the first sketch. Here are a step-by-step images of the process:
1. Pencil sketch
2. Making contours with fineliners
3. Final result after working with markers and adding texture with fineliners
And I was so inspired by material and photos I found at pinterest, so I drew few other sketches. I liked coffee with cinnamon, and I don't know why, but I've also chosen vegetables as models.
The result you can see below.
I really had a lot of fun making project, and after the class I feel free working with markers. There'se no fear anymore!)) Now I understand the process better, and I think I need more practice in blending and new colors of markers with brush nibs)) They helped me to draw the potato and the cinnamon sticks.
Thanks to Julia Henze for helpful and inspiring class!
