Trip Food: Most Memorable Meals

Trip Food: Most Memorable Meals - student project

What a super fun class. I learned so much working on this project. Thank you, MIkey! I love your work.

I decided to document a really special trip I took last year ... by illustrating the food we ate! I turned a very significant age last May and my husband and tween boy planned a surprise trip to Europe! They planned it for 6 months. EVERYONE in my life was in on it the whole time. And I had no idea ... until the night before our flight ... when I was given an "Amazing Race" clue telling me what was happening the next day. And it was 3 weeks of surprise after surprise "sponsored" by various family and friends. And even meeting up with friends in Paris! And again in Florence! Truly the most unforgettable experience.

Anyway, I sketched out a most memorable meal for each city we went to. Amsterdam and Geneva were just overnight visits so the food was ... well ... you'll see.

Here are my sketches for this project. I was completely inspired by Mikey's sketchbook tips. I'm a little concerned about my croissant that looks like a grub ... but let's just ignore that for now.
