Travelbugs' class projects and non-traveling topics

Hi all of you skilled people,

This is my travel blogger project! I'm Isabel and I love to travel (and write about my travels, too). This spring, I finally took courage to start the blog I've been thinking of for a long time - travelbug.se! It's in Swedish) but I'm thinking of maybe write in English too since most of my readers seems to be from the US. Check it out if you are curious :)

Here's my class projects! I've chose to do assignment 1, 3, 4 and 5.

1.
For the first assignment, I’ve made a list of places I’ve been to:

Denmark - all over the place

Norway - Oslo

France - Paris

UK - London

Spain - Barcelona, Gran Canaria

Italy - Venice, Rome, Positano, Tuscany (Lucca, Florence, Cinque de terre)

Croatia - Umag, Rovinj

Turkey - Antalya

Cap Verde

Germany - Berlin

The Netherlands - Utrecht, Amsterdam

Hungary - Budapest

Malaysia - Kuala Lumpur

Cambodia - Siem Reap, Phnom Pehn

The Philippines - Manila, Bora Cay, Bohol, Malapascua, Cebu, Siquijor

China - Peking

New Zealand - all over the place

The US - New York, Miami

The Bahamas

Turks and Caicos

US Virgin Islands

Puerto Rico

Latvia, Riga

Different types of lists
I'm thinking of lists like:

  • Where I get my inspiration
  • 10 inspirational blogs to check out
  • My best travel moments
  • 5 most beautiful beaches
  • My travel bucket list
  • My best travel essentials

I actually got so inspired by this assignment I decided to name one of my blog categories "Top 5" and just include different types of lists in it!

Recurring posts

Besides traveling, music (and especially techno) is my thing. I’ve done a lot of trips dedicated to techno with my friends over the past years - followed our favorite dj:s and artists to see them play and of course - to go clubbing and experience festivals that is so much bigger (and better!) than the ones back in Sweden. Like I mentioned before, I’m just getting started with my blog and I’m spending a lot of time thinking of what I’m gonna write about when I’m not traveling. So, one of my off-topics (or recurring posts) is gonna be music! I’m thinking of posts like:

  • The 5 best techno festivals in Europe
  • A guide to the best underground clubs in Stockholm
  • How a Shpongle concert changed my life
  • Why you have to visit Luminate festival at least once in your lifetime
  • What to pack for a party weekend

other topics I'm thinking of are:

  • Make a whole post based on a question/comment from a reader
  • Make a summary every week/every month and link to interesting blog posts or travel initiatives
  • Let friends or other travel bloggers post a guest blog

Guides

A guide I made for my blog is about Island hopping in the Philippines, a trip we did last year. The reason I chose that is because I myself had a hard time to find relevant (and updated) information about transports, tickets, routes and safety. Here's the guide that covers everything you might be wondering!
