Travel Notebook

GOAL: 

This app offers travel data about places on the map with options to see the popularity, star reviews in order to help people pick their vacation destinations. Once a place is picked, it offers more information of this place and help you to assemble a travel list with things to do and share with your travel companions.

 

FEATURES:  

- travel data on a map with options to see the popularity, star reviews, etc.

- a "feel lucky" button will randomly pick cities for you if you have no idea where to go.

- assemble users' own travel list with things to do in this city

- share travel list with travel companions

 

INTERVIEW QUESTIONARIES:

- do you like to travel? why? what’s the best part?

- what do you think about current travel apps? is there anything you wish they offer?

- how do you decide where to go?

- how do you plan your trip??use any tools to keep track of your planned trip?

SCENARIO:

Molly:

School spring break is coming , Molly and her best friends want to take a break from busy school life. This time it’s Molly’s turn to plan the trip.She opens the app, seeing the map with trends, and found there’s several hot spots within California which is where her school is located. She thinks it would be a good deal because their school is in San Francisco that they can save a good amount of money on flights. She clicks on San Diego, then browses for interesting places around there. Based on the time and money budget indicated on each place, she adds her interested places to a travel list. After she is done with it, she click on “share” button, input her besties’ email to share with them. 

Dan:

Dan’s is buying tickets for his business trip. His girlfriend is going home on that business trip weekend, so he decide to stay for one more day to explore the city. He put the Seattle on the search bar and click into Seattle page from the search result. He look through things and save a couple of things to do on that Saturday.
