Tottenham Home Kit

I've chosen to design a football kit from the team I'm passionate about Tottenham Hotspur.

I've supported Spurs since 1990 and have followed them through the highs and lows! Even back then I was mad about football kits, and I even designed a Tottenham away kit, but it probally wouldn't go down well as it was half blue, half RED! (Primary colour of our arch rivals , Arsenal!) Needless to say that that kit has vanished NEVER to be seen again!

I am obsessed by football kits so much so that I run a football shirt news website that I update on a daily basis with images and news on anything football kit related, I love all different makes, styles and colours.

I also own 66+ Spurs shirts, including home, away, third, goalkeeper, rare and prototypes and have no intention of stopping my collection.

Before this class started I decided to draw an Under Armour Spurs Kit.

Not the best drawing in the World, but I thought the UA logo would look good wrapped over the top of the jersey.

After watching the Kickoff Lecture, I already feel differently, I never realised just how much thought went into the design so this course has already taught me something. I can't wait to see what I can come up with at the end.

Inspiration

Bill Nicholson and the double winning side of 1961, widely regarded as the best Tottenham team ever and still the only non league club to win the FA Cup.

One of Bill's greatest quotes was, ‘It is better to fail aiming high than to succeed aiming low. And we of Spurs have set our sights very high, so high in fact that even failure will have in it an echo of glory.’

Spurs have had a number of different badge designs over the years but the 4 below are by far my favourite.

Im going to pick and vary different ideas from the 16 different Spurs home shirts I own, but I think I'll get inspiration from my 5 favourites,

Four different manufacturers from four different decades.
