This was a great little tutorial because I have actually seen a few different ways to achieve this effect, but this is by far the simplest way.  It also came at a perfect time because I was in the middle of a project that needed a little more oomph.

The first title below is what I had before seeing the tutorial. And I made several versions using different colors in the color scheme for my project.  I went with the third from the bottom, but I think they all look pretty cool to be honest!
