Tissue Paper Flowers

Hello everyone!

Since we can only create one project here, my first Skillshare class is at the end of this post (I didn't want to delete it all together). The newest class for the Returning Teachers: New Year's Channel Challenge, is on top. I will add a new cover photo shorty (just need to complete my example project first). The one shown now is a previous tissue paper flower that I made.

After having done two classes focusing mainly on background techniques, I thought I'd concentrate more on embellishments in this class, and particularly making DIY 3-D paper flowers, which is something I love to do.

Making your own dimensional flowers is a lot of fun, and doesn’t require many supplies. In a few simple steps you can start creating your own paper flower garden. In this class, you will learn to made gorgeous dimensional flowers from ordinary tissue paper. The flowers can be used for gift packaging, turned into magnets, placed in a vase, added as embellishments to arts and crafts projects, and so much more.

Quick and easy techniques will be taught in the class, including:

  • Different kinds of flowers made out of tissue paper, in varying sizes
  • How to customize your flowers with colour (inks, mists, glitter and acrylic paint)
  • How to add patterns with stamps
  • Adding finishing touches to the flowers

The class is suitable for beginners to more advanced paper crafters who are looking for inspiration when it comes to creating your own flowers.

My class outline can be found here.

My channel plan (I might change the order/focus of the future classes), is here

My introduction video can be found here.

Looking forward to doing this new class!

My first Skillshare class is below:

I am so happy to have posted my first class on Skillshare, Versatile Watercolor Stamping, and I had great fun creating my class.

So far, I have written a blog post on my blog Layers of ink about my class, and I will proceed with my social media channels tomorrow (the class was posted on Halloween, which wasn't the best day to promote it).

I will also write some emails to friends who might be interested in enrolling in my class.

3 Nov - I am happy to now have 25 students in my class now. I am planning to do a little reminder post about the class on social media in a couple of days.
