Time Tracking Reminders

Problem hypothesis 

  • People at our company forget to track their time throughout the day.

Solution hypothesis

  • If we send them reminders throughout the day, they will remember to track their time.

Assumptions about user

  • If given the option, a user will sign up for a reminder.
  • A user will read a reminder.
  • Seeing a reminder will prompt a user to fill in their timesheet.

Riskiest assumption

  • If given the option, a user will sign up for a reminder.

MVP 

  • Send an email out a group from the company telling them a new reminder feature is available for time tracking. Email clicks through to a simple form where the user is given an option of different types of reminders - email, IM, SMS.

Data to collect 

  • Email opens vs. opt-ins for reminders
  • # of opt-ins per reminder type (email, IM, SMS)
