What a sweet feminine dino. I love the mane and the pick ups of rouge in it with her saddle and the red in the sand.

Hi Kate,  I am so happy to hear of your love of art.  Your work is clean and clear which is what a wash technique is supposed to deliver.The Orange is really orange with a few slight intensity changes to add interest and variety. Well done wet technique on foreground that shows no overworking which would produce a muddy effect. I like the gentle curves for the neck spikes. The eye treatment is very attractive and is sure to bring good luck. Illustration is all about 'repetition' and 'themes'. I suppose I have drawn this little Dino about a thousand times since he / she was created for the Artabet website about 7 years ago. Draw a character and then re-draw it, and re-draw it, and re-draw it, until it is uniquely yours.That is Illustration in an eggshell. Top marks Kate !!! Any requests for another class like this? What would you like to see? I will deliver if you order.
