                                                By Helen Holmes

Val (27M) is a loner and freelance-illustrator that works in a local print shop. One day a customer informs

him about the crimes happening to their peaceful town and the cops don't have any leads. While at home

Val watches the news. A witness to the crime gives a description of the possible suspect. The sketch

looks very similar to him but he shakes the thought. As he flips through the channels, every station is

flooded with special reports about the crimes. People in utter panic ,giving there thoughts and

concerns. The police chief instructs people to be cautions and to limit their daily activities. The next day at

work, the loud charismatic novice, Amy (23F), asks Val about his opinion on the major crime happenings.

Val, oblivious to Amy's infatuation ignores her chatter and continues with his work. Amy gets a phone call

from their boss saying he has to cut their hours because of slow business. Val is frustrated and in a

attempt to cheer him up she invites him to drinks later. He declines stating he has to ease his anger by

staying home.

Later that evening, while taking a break from illustrating a gig poster, he sketches a portrait of the killer.

His cat lays its tail over the sketch giving it a mustache . Val is humored by his cat's unintended idea and

proceeds to mock the sketch with doodles around its face. At the end of the night he has finished a series

of portraits that are signed at the bottom the Anonymous Asshole. At work he prints them out and

decides to post them around town with Amy to help.

Discovering people are snickering at his disgraced portrait scattered around the town. Vic (28M) a quirky

and disturbed man, is furious. He is determined to find this anonymous asshole. He goes into every print

shop pretending to be an admirer. He asks who is behind the brilliant poster discovering that no one

knows. His last stop happens to be where Val works. He asks Amy who is behind the masterpieces

placed around town. She laughs and points to Val. The angry killer pulls out a gun and instructs Val to

take him to a motel. They arrive at the motel. Val who has a gun thrusted in his back, is ordered to sit at

the desk with a clipboard and pen. Vic lays on the bed with his left hand rested on his stomach and the

gun in his right pointed at Val. He tells Val he is ready to be counseled. Val readies his paper and pen.Vic

proceeds to reminisce about his childhood and orphaned brother who has an artistic talent.

Vic proceeds to add that his mother was an party animal and an alcoholic. She was extremely selfish and

did not provided for her boys. She abandoned her children and they were placed in a orphanage in this

town. He tells Val that his brother loved to draw and drew funny faces that always depicted his lazy eye.

His insecurity and self-esteem suffered because of it. Vic asks Val about his lazy eye, if its really that bad.

Val shakes his head and blurts out that it was his cat's idea behind the posters. Vic responds with

confusion and Val disregards the statement. Val realizes that his long lost brother is in front of him and

pities him. Val sympathizes with Vic telling him that his past isn't his fault. Vic says that Val looks familiar.

Val stands up and asks for a hug. Gaining trust from Val, he lets down his guard (an attempt of a one hand

hug with the gun resting on his side), Val punches Vic in the face ,knocking the killer out. He escapes to

the front office to call the police. Later the police have arrested the killer; in the cop car he stares at Val

with betrayal .The officer asks Val if he knew the man, Val sadly says no.
