Thompson Tea & Coffee Motion Graphics

Thompson Tea & Coffee Motion Graphics - student project

I changed my initial idea of animating my personal identity and decided to have a go at the imagery I created for a tea & coffee packaging.

The first step taken was to animate the pattern itself. And here you can see the first draft:

I'm already convinced I need to make a few tweaks, but I'm satisfied with the work for a first attempt. Is it me, or does it seem a little bit too busy? Need a fresh pair of eyes or perhaps some sleep.

I committed most of today to working on the project and I now consider it finished. As per Dan's advice, I speeded  up the timing for the pattern animation and made sure that everything runs smoothly without detracting attention from the focal point. I am sure once I wake up tomorrow I will find that something's sticking out like a sore thumb, but at this point I'm ready to start another project and learn more new techniques.

Also, I made an attempt at syncing up background music. The beat was so funky that I decided no sfx was needed.
