Finishing Touches (First Draft)

Texturing is helping to add weight but I feel like there is something I'm missing with the composition. Gonna step away from it for a while and come back to it.

Digital Illustration

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Before I commited to going digital with my original sketch, I decided to revisit the concept and go with a thief being stealthy for my interpretation of quiet. This time I tried to be more abstract with the figure and have a little more fun than my previous concept (hence the tippy toes). I feel like my composition could be a lot stronger than it is here, and that's what I am struggling with the most so far. I'm somewhat content with the color palette I chose. I wanted to use colors that were more moody and less energetic to compliment the scene.

Sketch

I do a lot of my thinking in my head so I naturally chose meditation as a good start to illustrate QUIET. I started to think about an ideal situation for quiet to be fully realized and this is what I came up with. Being abstract is something I'm trying to grow into with my illustrating and I feel that this is a bit too literal so I plan on digging deeper into the meaning of "meditation" to come up with something more interesting visually.
