Skills To A Better Life

The title of my second Skillshare Class is "Twitter for Getting Warm Leads, Driving Traffic, And Connecting"

This is my second SkillShare class. You can see it here.

I've used Twitter successfully to send people to my websites, or social media post to give them the all important initial boost.

The back story to this . . .

I sort of stumbled on to this method over a year ago, when one of my websites was taken offline for a few months. It was ranking somewhere around the end of page 1 or middle page 2 for key search terms before it was taken offline.

When I put the website back online, it dropped significantly in search rankings.

To ensure that my efforts weren't wasted, I used the method mentioned in my class to slowly send traffic of interested people and it resulted in sales. It is not a quick method, and works better for some markets than others.

Back to the project here.

People says a picture paints a thousand word. So a good cover photo is necessary, in my opinion. While I'm pretty good with an graphics tool like GIMP, but, design is not my forte.

First iteration. No dice.

Interation #2 (created on Canva). Better but still lacking.

Finally, I redid the front cover, which is the image above with orange words. While I wanted blue text to be inline with Twitter's color, it just doesn't work well with the grey background image.

So orange it is.

I was quite surprised to see a student signed up the moment I launched the course. At the moment, there is already 10 students, just 6 hours from launch.

More updates to come.

By the way, just a few more students to reach 50 on my first class. Pretty happy.

Update 06/06/2016

I launched my third class which is photography related, "Bring Faces Out From Shadows" I tweeted about it.
