The benefits of white space

The benefits of white space - student project

I thoroughly enjoyed this class! Generally I am a stickler for details ...this can lead to procrastination and being so worried about the end result that I don't even start a project!

Breaking objects down and succumbing / trusting Cats amazing technique help me complete some botanical paintings that I think have some lovely elements.

I especially love the colour magic that happens with Cats wet-on-wet technique! Usually I would have tried to blend colours to create depth / texture etc. but allowing the water colours to do the work seems to be the trick!

I was inspired by Cats suggestion to try and create patterns with our botanicals.  I have shared 2 very rudimentary patterns that I created in Keynote ;) One day I will get around to learning photoshop or procreate!
