The Wizard of Ahhhs

Hey Chris thanks for this class! Johnny Cupcakes and Electric Zombie are 2 clothing companies I am very much inspired by!

I love Halloween and decided to make a few designs for my own brand Bruckaroni Toys n' Thangs. I'll point out a few things in my project as I go but if you'd like to know more about my brand you can check it out in these classes

I'll start with my Wizard of Ahhhs design first. The wizard of Oz is one of my all time favorite movies and I am also very much inspired by classic horror films and posters and designed to do a little homage to all of the above.

Here was my first initial sketch

I wanted to push the composition a bit more so I made some mood boards and then jumped into photoshop to sketch out the idea a bit more

Now I had more of an idea of what I wanted and was happy with the general composition so I jumped into Illustrator to really start to flesh it out.

Here is how the final design turned out.

I wanted to make sure to have something brand related in the design so I included this in the style of old movie posters where they have the production companies name

and here it is on a shirt moch up

I also created a few Halloween themed ideas for my brand which you can see below

For this piece the hat on his head is a big tie in to my brand. My brands mascot wears a similar hat and the logo is one of my brands logos. I also love candy and decided to put my top 3 favorite candies into this design as a little extra something fun
